Christopher T. Lamal (e-mail: firstname.lastname@example.org) has practiced business and corporate law for over 25 years. Before establishing Lamal Law Office in 2003, Chris was a partner in the New York office of the international law firm Salans, where he was a member of the firm’s Entrepreneur and Private Client and Mergers and Acquisitions practice groups and also served as co-head of the New York office’s French practice desk. Prior to joining Salans, he was a partner at the Thelen and Sutherland law firms.
He has appeared on expert panels for courses on entrepreneurship at New York University and has published articles in the New York Law Journal and the Journal of the International Commission of Jurists.
Chris is a member of the Board of Directors, serving as board secretary and executive committee member, of Bowery Arts and Science, Ltd. (www.boweryartsandscience.org), an organization with a special focus on fostering the development and performance of the poetic and oral arts in collaboration with artists engaged in the plastic and performing arts.
Chris also serves as the founding chair of the Sarah Lawrence College Planned Giving Advisory Council and is a former member of the Board of Trustees of Sarah Lawrence College (2000-2008), where he served as Chair of the Audit Committee (2002-2008) and as a member of the Finance, Development and Educational Policies committees. He is a former member of the boards of directors of Lawyers Alliance for New York and of the Aspen Wind Quintet. He also serves as a director or officer of several business companies.
Chris received his law degree from New York University School of Law and is also a graduate of Sarah Lawrence College (B.A.) and of Yale University (M.A.). He is a member of the New York State Bar Association and the Association of the Bar of the City of New York.
